24/7 prescription pick-up at Well Pharmacy

Pick up your prescription whenever it suits you, with our 24/7 prescription collection service. Available in selected pharmacies in England.

What is 24/7 prescription pick-up?

We know our customers lead busy lives and that collecting prescriptions during working hours isn’t always convenient. To help, we’ve launched a 24/7 prescription pick-up service at selected pharmacies.

You can pick up your repeat prescription from a participating Well pharmacy any time of the day, any day of the year, thanks to our automated collection points.

Can I collect my prescription from any Well pharmacy in the UK?

24/7 prescription pick-up is only available at selected pharmacies in England at the moment. Use our pharmacy finder to check which services are available at your local Well.

How does 24/7 prescription pick-up work?

Our 24/7 prescription pick-up service is simple and convenient. Just follow these three easy steps:

  1. Order your prescription with us.
  2. We’ll send you a text message with a unique number when your prescription is ready to pick up.
  3. Go to the automated collection point outside the pharmacy and enter your unique number using the touchscreen. Pay with your debit or credit card (the collection point does not accept cash), and your prescription will be dispensed to you.

Collecting prescriptions is as simple as that.

Can I collect my prescription at the weekend?

Yes, our automated collection points are available 24/7 so you can collect your prescription any time that suits you, including at the weekend.

Can someone else collect my prescription?

Yes, anyone picking up your prescription from one of our automated collection points will need the unique code we sent to you via text message and a debit or credit card. Be sure to only share your collection code with someone who has your consent to collect your prescription on your behalf.

If they are collecting your prescription from inside the pharmacy on your behalf, they will need to bring with them:

  1. Your completed FP10 prescription form.
  2. Your name and address.
  3. Proof of their identity (like a passport, driving licence, or bank card).

Can I order my prescription online?

You can order your prescription online with Well and have it delivered for free if you are registered with a GP based in England. Our prescription delivery service is a separate service suitable for single and repeat prescriptions.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Order your prescription online through our website or app.
  2. We’ll contact your GP to ask them to approve your order.
  3. You pay for your prescription online (or upload proof of exemption from payment).
  4. We deliver your prescription to you for free.

We'll send your prescription to you via Royal Mail in letterbox-friendly packaging where possible, so you won’t have to wait at home for your delivery. Prescription deliveries usually take around 3-4 days to arrive after they’ve been dispatched. If you prefer, you can choose Click and Collect at checkout to pick up your prescription from a Well pharmacy that's convenient for you.

Are all prescriptions available for 24/7 prescription pick-up?

Not all prescriptions will be suitable for 24/7 prescription pick-up. We won’t be able to offer you the service if your prescription:

  • has to be kept in a fridge
  • is a controlled medication, such as morphine
  • comes in a large or bulky package, for example, dressings.

Even if our 24/7 prescription pick-up service isn’t available for your medication, we can still text you to let you know when your prescription is ready to collect if you sign up to our text notification service.

Contact your local Well pharmacy if you’re interested in trying the 24/7 prescription pick-up service to find out if it’s available.

How do I sign-up for 24/7 prescription pick-up?

To sign up, tell the team at your local Well pharmacy that you'd like to use the 24/7 prescription pick-up service. They'll check your medication is suitable and that we have up-to-date contact information for you. This service is only available in selected pharmacies in England at the moment.

Please make sure we have your up-to-date contact information

We need your up-to-date contact information including your mobile phone number if you want to use our 24/7 prescription pick-up service. We'll send you updates on when your order is ready to collect and your unique collection code via text message.

If you think you're going to run out of your medication and you’ve not had a text message from us, please contact the pharmacy you usually collect your prescriptions from directly.
