Seb Hobbs, Chief Executive Officer

Seb joined Well in July 2019, he has overall responsibility for setting the strategic direction and the daily operation of the business on behalf of Well’s owners, the Bestway Group.

Prior to Well, Seb worked for the world’s largest diamond jewellery retailer, Signet Jewelers, leading their UK operation before being promoted to President & Chief Customer Officer and relocating to the USA. In this role Seb led all customer facing activities across 7 brands in 4 countries, including store operations, product development, marketing, digital, diamond sourcing, repair and supply chain. Prior to Signet, Seb was a senior executive at leading outdoor goods retailer, Blacks Leisure Group and spent most of his early career with apparel retail conglomerate Storehouse. While in the US, Seb was an active Board member of 2 charities, Jewelers for Children and Diamond Empowerment Fund, serving on their respective Executive Committees.

In late 2019 Seb launched the company’s ‘Delivering Well’ 3 year strategy to focus on Well’s clear mission: ‘to be here for the wellbeing of our patients and customers’. This strategy is to set Well up for success in the ever-changing world of community pharmacy and in support of the NHS strategic direction to better enable community pharmacies to provide services and support a community’s health care provision alongside GPs, hospitals and other healthcare providers.

Seb lives in Berkshire with his wife and two dogs. He describes himself as a ‘glass half full’ person who respects straight talk and data-driven decision making. He is passionate about communications, engagement and development for the teams that work across Well. He likes to keep fit, is a keen runner and recently started cycling and he enjoys exploring new places and different cultures.
