Nominating a pharmacy

We'll let you know when your prescription is ready

Cut out trips between your doctor and pharmacy

Get medicine reviews from your pharmacist

Your doctor may ask you if you want to nominate a pharmacy. This just means you're letting the NHS know your preferred pharmacy.

Having a nominated pharmacy allows your GP to send you prescriptions directly to that store, so your medicines are ready and waiting for you to collect them. In some cases, having a nominated pharmacy allows the pharmacy to request repeat prescriptions from the GP on your behalf.

It's easy to nominate your preferred pharmacy – just let your doctor or the store know. If you'd like to nominate a Well pharmacy, you can do it online. Find a Well pharmacy to get started.

Things to note

If you sign up to any of our prescription services, such as 24/7 prescription pick-up, we'll get in touch with your GP to let them know that Well is your nominated pharmacy. We have to do this in order to offer you the service.
