New Medicine Service

New Medicine Service

When you’ve been prescribed a new medicine, you may feel overwhelmed with all the information you receive and wish you had asked more questions. The NHS New Medicine Service, funded by the NHS and available at your local Well, allows you to ask our pharmacist all those questions during a private consultation, helping you to understand your condition and the medicine you’ve been prescribed.

Who would benefit from this service?

If you’ve been diagnosed with one of the following conditions, our pharmacist may recommend the service:

  • Asthma
  • Respiratory conditions such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • Conditions where you take medication to control the way your blood clots

*Only available via NHS England
