Our pre-registration training programme provides the perfect foundation, training and support for you to become a responsible pharmacist with a commercial and clinical focus.
Our established and successful Pre-registration programme is delivered through a structured syllabus, supportive training team and dedicated tutors to support you in giving your career the best start. The aim of the year is to build on your knowledge, skills, and confidence to enable you to become a responsible Pharmacist focused on person-centred care. With support from your Pre-reg tutor, colleagues, and managers, you will have every opportunity to build up your experience.
Once your Pre-registration year is finished, you will have the opportunity to progress your career typically by moving into a Relief Pharmacist role. This role will enable you to develop your clinical skills, take on additional management responsibility and build your confidence.
Here at Well, we are passionate about further development, so whether you want to embark on a management role or enrol on our funded clinical diploma, with independent prescribing, to develop clinical knowledge, we have something for everybody!

To give you an insight into what the relationship between a tutor and trainee during your Pre-registration year is like, our Graduate Attraction Advisor, Amy, spoke to Pre-registration tutor William Pike, and trainee Ben Hilborne.
My tutor was really good, eager to teach me everything around the pharmacy and the business. Not only staying in the dispensary, but also learning the business side of the pharmacy.
I’ve felt comfortable with the amount of support. The monthly training days and material available on the intranet has meant I am able to keep testing myself and reinforce topics.
The company provides students with exceptional training. The staff are so helpful and friendly and go beyond to make sure that training is provided.
