Why we're changing our opening hours

We’ve changed the opening hours of some of our pharmacies to better support our local communities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Due to the unprecedented demand on our pharmacies and in line with government guidance, we will be closing our pharmacies for set periods throughout the day. These closures allow our staff to dedicate time to deal with the high demand, and to ensure the ongoing supply of core services to patients. We are significantly busier than usual, but we're working hard to look after all our patients.

Pharmacies may choose to open different hours on a daily basis depending on their individual circumstances, which unfortunately means we can’t keep our pharmacy finder up to date. The following hours apply Monday to Friday and should only be used as a guideline.

Our pharmacies in England will be closed to the public for their first hour after opening. They will also close for 90 minutes in the middle of the day, from 12.30 to 2pm.

Our pharmacies in Wales will be closed to the public for the first and last hour of the day. They will also close in the middle of the day, from midday to 2pm.

Our pharmacies in Scotland will be open from 10am to 1pm, and 2pm to 5pm.

Northern Ireland

Our pharmacies in Northern Ireland will be closed to the public from 10am to 11am, and from 1pm to 2pm.
